Frequently Asked Questions

HOW LONG WILL MY DOG BE THERE?

A: The earlier your appointment time is the earlier your dog will be done, with a few exceptions. Thickness of coat, your dog's health and ability to stand for grooming, your dog's ability to cooperate with the grooming service, type of service requested, etc will affect how long the grooming takes. A good estimation is 3 hours for a bath and tidy, 4 hours for a full grooming service but again the variables mentioned above will affect these times. If you wish your dog to be done within a specific time frame we can provide an Express Groom at an additional $15 on top of your groom price. Express Grooms need to be requested at the time of scheduling your appointment.

DO YOU GROOM AGGRESSIVE DOGS?

A: We do have the ability to groom certain aggressive dogs with the use of a muzzle. If your dog requires more than one groomer for handling then we will add an additional $15. However, some dogs can become too stressed out and can jeopardize their own safety which will require us to send them home. A veterinarian's office will be better equipped to provide services to an aggressive and stressed out animal.

DO YOU GROOM SENIOR PETS?

A: We love our senior friends and always set out to provide caring services to those with special needs. Similar to our aggressive pet policy we will also groom senior pets but with a few exceptions. Our senior friends may get to the point where they are unable to stand for long periods of time or even not at all. Because of this they may require breaks which will make the grooming process take longer. If they require the help of an additional groomer for safe handling we may charge an additional $15. Some senior pets may get too stressed from grooming which can be a hazard to their safety. In their best interest, we may choose to send them home if this occurs and refer you to a veterinarian for grooming.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE FOR EXTRA BRUSHING?

A: All of our bath and groom packages include 15 minutes of brushing. If your dog requires more than that it is usually due to matting or heavy undercoat. Brushing your dog regularly and thoroughly at home can prevent the need for extra brushing at the groomer's. If you would rather have us do it, it will cost $15 per each additional half hour.
